It's Sunday afternoon, just about the end of the weekend. It's disappointing that of the two weekends I have this trip to enjoy London (and I promised that this trip I would make more of an effort to enjoy myself) this one was mostly spent in my room fighting this cold and resting. Despite the earlier weather reports predicting a weekend of wet gloom, the sky outside is a bright blue. I've ventured out a couple times to go to the store, stocking my little kitchenette with enough to keep me fed for the rest of my trip and the few toiletries that I've forgotten to pack, but each time has really exhausted me.
Yesterday I did venture out to have lunch and a beer with my old friend Amanda Raine who I haven't seen in almost four years. She happened to be traveling through this part of the world and is in England for the next month or so. We became fast friends at the New York Film Academy in October 2000. If you wander around my web site in the movie section you will find eight movies, the four projects that Amanda and I did at the school. I highly encourage anyone to watch "Last of a Kind" which was her final project, and I think was the best film of our entire class. I worked as the Director of Photography for her first and last movies ('The Last Straw" and "Last of a Kind") and am fiercely proud of my camera and lighting work on both.
